We popped in today for a light lunch. We weren't disappointed what a lovely cafe with amazing staff who were very welcoming, cherry, polite and friendly. We ordered the homemade carrot 🥕 and coriander it was absolutely delicious 😋 came well presented hot 🔥 and very tasty 😋. I had probably the best cappuccino ☕️☕️ that I've had for some time all in all a good experience.

We shared a desert as completely full, the cheesecake was amazing. Probably 10/10
Prices are reasonable
We had 2 Sunday lunches, coffees and a pudding for £50
Definitely recommend for the quality food.
They even do a take away option which would bear in mind in future

Lovely cafe. First time visiting and ordered a special hot pork roll with chips (£7.45) and a beef burger with chips (£9.95) both fresh and tasty. Chips are crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Nice friendly service and quirky interior.

They also offer Sunday lunches which a lot of people seemed to be coming in for! We were just visiting but this seems like a very popular place, and for food reason! The food we had was delicious (homemade carrot cake with fruit and cream on the side, and a warmed cheese scone) with some tea and coffee. Had Sunday dinner and because of the service and quality of food we returned this morning for a full English breakfast.
Both times we were made to feel welcome and although there was only one cook/chef she still served up quality food in very reasonable time, even with my personal requirements (fussy eater).
I would like to thank the chef and give her our compliments and also mention the great service from the lady waitress who served us both days.
I fully recommend this place, great service great food and very reasonably priced.

We stopped in this lovely market town for breakfast on the way to Hadrians Wall. Fabulous cooked breakfast each and a pot of tea. Everything was cooked to perfection. They also had some lovely looking cakes you could buy per slice too, but our breakfast filled us up. The town is so worth a wander around too, very quaint.

Another happy chance. Walking around and exploring Hexham at lunchtime. Saw a sign saying soup and roll. Called in. Lovely homemade soup, soft fluffy rolls and good value for money. Staff very friendly.

We had a huge and very lovely lunch here on.our way back to Glasgow with a free filter coffee top up. Staff were really friendly, nice atmosphere and spotless loos. Cakes looked delicious but we were too full to indulge. We will definitely be back!😀

Had a great breakfast there yesterday. The full English was spot on and good value. My partner had a delicious porridge served with fresh berries and honey 😋 Lovely friendly staff too. We'll definitely be back

Fantastic Roast dinner today, large portions. All lovely fresh vegetables and served nice and hot. Desserts looked lovely and was tempted with the lemon roulade. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Looking forward to going back next Sunday.

Absolutely top quality food. We both had the roast beef dinner. It was perfection. Beef was melt in the mouth, Yorkshire pud was divine, veggies were properly cooked, gravy was good and thick. For dessert we had individual trifle. This was exactly how I remember it from my childhood. It even had a glacé cherry on top. All in all a wonderful meal. I would highly recommend it
